Galia Lahav

I’ve simply fallen in love with Galia Lahav‘s wedding dresses!  Based in Israel, she designs haute couture wedding dresses and evening gowns that are simply stunning.  The intricate detailing and and unique modern style is what makes her dresses to die for!

I would one day love to wear one of her dresses down the aisle.  However, they do run on the higher end of dresses.  But those of you who love her dresses as well there are many “Galia Lahav inspired” dresses that can be found on the internet.  So that beautiful dress is still within reach!

Cupcakes: A Sweet Alternative!!

Over the last year or two cupcakes have been a trending treat. In the past they were the plain Jane cousin to the cake.  However, the cupcake has taken center stage and stepped out into the spotlight!  They have been catching up to it’s famous counterpart and now come in all shapes and forms!

-Traditional
-Ice-cream filled
-New, unique flavors
-Stuffed (jams, creams, etc.)
-Flourless
-Pull-apart “cakes”
-Even “pup cakes” (dog-friendly treats)

Not only are there a variety of types, but the detailing on them have become more and more intricate and fun to play around with.  I have definitely seen some very clever and cute designs.

Due to it’s little-mess, individual servings they have often become replacements for birthday cakes, wedding cakes, party treats, etc.  The ease of customizing flavors and designs gives a special touch and variety to any event or occasion as well.  The cupcake has come a long way from what they once were.  Definitely an idea to consider for your next order of delectable treats for any occasion.

Although there are many “gourmet” companies out there I like to support the independent bakers out there.  Plus, I know both of these lovely ladies and think they are very crafty.  Here are just a few:

Priscilla and Kenny’s Wedding 10.5.2013

This past weekend I had the pleasure to be a part of Priscilla and Kenny’s BIG DAY as their wedding coordinator.  They are a very busy couple that did a wonderful job putting together a simple, yet detailed, travel theme for their wedding.  I can honestly say I LOVED all the little touches that they had.  Throughout the ceremony and reception I could definitely tell and feel the love between these two.  They share such a beautiful relationship that seems to just work.  Not only were they complete sweethearts (and pretty laid back on the day of) but so were their families.  It made everything that much easier for the big day.  Here are a few photos from the wedding:

The Ceremony was held at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, CA

After the ceremony the reception was scheduled for soon after.  I had to high-tail out of there to check on everything at the reception.  It was held not too far at The Center Club in Costa Mesa, CA

My favorite part definitely has to be the gift card and place card tables.  The details were very cute and clever!

All in all it was a beautiful day!  There were definitely some moments that made me tear up and of course stressful moments.  But all of that is what I love.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lee!!
(Fun fact, both their last names were “Lee” so no need to make any changes there! haha)
